Dual Credit
Post-Secondary Credit at GISS
CAMOSUN DUAL CREDIT BUSINESS COURSES:
Accounting 110 prerequisite: English 12 C+
Business 140 prerequisite: English 11
Business 140 is a thorough tutorial for Microsoft Office with an emphasis on spreadsheets. It's invaluable for everyone and especially useful if you're heading to college or university. Past graduates tell us this is the one skill they wish they had before they started post secondary.
Entrepreneurship & Mentorship 12
The Entrepreneurship & Mentorship 12 course aims to provide skills to youth who intend to pursue a career path in self-employed fields. The focus of this dual credit course is project-based and applied learning. Students gain experience by identifying a community or market need and then create and learn to manage a collective classroom business, mastering business skills, hands-on. Offered in partnership with Camosun College, students will earn college credit for Camosun's Business 280 as well as Ministry of Education Entrepreneurship 12.
