Administrative Announcement - Retirements and Portfolio Adjustments

On behalf of the Board of Education for School District 64 (Gulf Islands), I wish to make the following announcements:
Retirements
- Louise Doucet will be retiring from her position as Vice-Principal of French Immersion effective June 30, 2025. Louise has worked for the School District since March 2002.
- Maggie Allison will be retiring from her position as Manager of Career Development and Community Initiatives, effective September 15, 2025. Maggie has been with 香港六合彩 since November 1991.
I would like to take this opportunity and express my gratitude to Maggie and Louise for their many years of service and dedication. Each leaves a legacy of program excellence that has greatly benefited students and community. They are valued members of our administrative team and will be missed.
Portfolio Adjustments, effective August 1, 2025
- Lorna Fraser will continue in her role as the Indigenous Education Principal, adding Child Care and Early Years programs to her portfolio of responsibilities.
- Lyall Ruehlen will assume the position of District Principal for Career Development and Community Engagement, focussing on scholarships, career programs, and administrative mentorship.
- Dan Sparanese will add District Occupational Health and Safety to his portfolio as the District Principal responsible for 64GO and Feeding Futures.
- Adrian Pendergast will continue in his position as District Principal with oversight of Outer Islands Schools and will assume additional responsibilities with District Human Resources.
